New York Shopping - Details Please
Hi,
Mom & I are off to NYC this weekend (May 12-15) and would like to do some shopping while there. We know where the "big" shops are (Macy's, Bloomie's etc.) but would like to see some of the fun funky shops or boutiques NYC has to offer. Can you give me details (like street names/numbers) of some fun places in Soho, Nolita (I've heard both areas have great shops)...or any other places you can think of. We are staying at the Belvedere and are comfortable taking the mass transit or cabs.
Thanks all!

In Nolita I enjoy Elizabeth Street south of Houston and North of Spring. I also like Mott Street, which is the adjacent street. There are many fun shops in that area, a little funkier than your normal chain shops that you will find in Soho. I also enjoy Soho, but for a little bit of a funkier feel go down Sullivan Street south of Houston, you will find smaller specialty shops on that street as it is on the outer part of Soho.
