The best place to buy Abercombie and Fitch in New York

I am coming to New York in February (with the 21 students I've already asked a question about, many thanks for the most informative responses and by the way they are aged 17-21, one is deaf and one has Aspergers, luckily I have three other members of staff with me) anyway, several friends have asked me to purchase A & F
T-shirts for them - they are very trendy over here at the moment. Because I don't have a lot of spare time, could anybody out there tell me the best, and easiest to find shop, to buy them in. Thank you all very much.

As far as I know, the only place to purchase A&F apparel is an A&F retail store.

You'll find an A&F store located on Fulton Street just west of the South Street Seaport, a popular tourist destination. That portion of Fulton Street is closed to traffic and is basically a pedestrian mall leading to the Seaport.

Good luck & Enjoy NYC!

Since it sounds like you will have a very busy trip, you might be interested in the website - abercrombieand fitch.com - I know it is not as much fun as shopping in the store (as my daughter would be the first to tell you), but since you are shopping for friends, you could at least check out items and cost ahead of time - even if you don't shop on the site. At least in the Boston area stores, we have sometimes found specific sizes, colors and styles are sometimes not available - so you could also use the website as a backup.

The only one in the whole city is at South Street Seaport... a highly touristy area. If you are planning on going there already, then it's convenient, if not, I'd get it online...they have the exact same clothing online and in the stores.

Wasn't A & F boycotted recently for the suggestive and pornographic nature of their ad campaign?

Out here it was boycotted not for the catalog but for the racist t-shirts they came out with a year or so ago. In addition they are being sued for hiring practices.

Still, teenagers want the clothes (especially if there isn't a store nearby).

Don't know where you are located, but we just had an A&F retail store open at our mall here in Jackson, Tennessee.
