New York March 2- 6th
My husband and I will be in New York for the weekend of March 2nd. We have reseravations @ Trump International, and need restaurant and Theatre suggestions. This will be his first trip to NY, and I have not been in about 10 yrs! We are so excited, but I feel a bit overwhelmed, b/c there are so many great restaurnats and shows. I need some help narrowing down our choices to the top 2-3 shows, and top 3 restaurants. We are planning on eating in Jean Jorges located in our hotel, and Balthazar's Bistro.

We are looking for a variety. We are very much into food, and do not mind pricey, as long as it is great tasting paired with good service. I enjoy well prepared fish dishes, with great sauces, and my husband enjoys lamb, veal, or beef. We each love sushi, and asian cuisine. I am interested in trying Balthazars french bistro, I have heard good things about it, it was even mentioned on the Food Network today.

As far as shows, we are looking into Dirty Rotton Scroundrels, Chicago, The Producers, and The Odd Couple. We love musicals, but want to see a play as well. I saw The Producers in Chicago without mu husband, and cannot decide if he would like it as much as I did, would any men like to comment? Also, what is another musical besides Chicago and Phantom that you would suggest?

For a straight play, Doubt is definitely the best thing on Broadway. The Odd Couple is sold out.
For musicals, all of your three first choices are good ones. And, there's a chance for discount tickets for all three. Check playbill.com and broadwaybox.com for discount offers.

Right by your hotel is Picholine. I very nice restaurant indeed. Also, right across the streel from your hotel is the Time-Warner Center with it's selection of fine dining -- Per Se and others including a very nice bar in the Mandarin Oriental.
