Carnegie Deli or the Oyster Bar at Grand Central Station?
Thank you!

I say Oyster Bar, if for no other reason than it will get you into Grand Central Station, one of NYC's most impressive public spaces. Be sure to try the whispering corners just outside of the Oyster Bar's entrance.

You are asking us to compare apples and oranges! Both are good, but are totally different experiences. To be simplistic about it: Do you want deli or seafood?

Neither! Babette, you were doing so good with your picks!

BUT....

Second Avenue Deli is 'less tourist' and more NYC!
Grand Central Station is a wonderful area to explore, stop into the Oyster and look around, but head out to other eating establishments in the area like.....
Keens Chop House for a Burger in the Pub area. Ask the hostess to show you the "Lincoln Room". They have the 'ORIGIONAL' Stained Playbill from the Fords theater the on that night! Gruesome, but fascinating! Make sure it is 'after the Burger'

Neither. For a better view of Grand Central & better (but not outstanding food), go to Cipriani's on the mezzanine of Grand Central where you can sit & watch the people and the ceiling. Better still, be a tourist & go to Rockefeller Center & sit in the cafe & watch the skaters. Or eat with the movers & shakers at the Four Seasons.
