Did you price the Doubletree in Time's Square? It's nice to have a two rooom suite with kids and a refrigerator. They'd have a pull out in the LR and their own TV (watch for porn on the master bedroom TV though).
Many hotel rooms in NYC are very small even in so-called luxury hotels. So find a suite.

GoT, evidently they didn't like your other hotel thread.
I'm staying at the Hampton Inn - because it gets good reviews, I get Hilton points and a free breakfast. Works for me.
The name says it's the Hampton Inn Times Square but there are those on this board who have problems with that. It's at 8th and W. 51st and convenient to the theatre district.

I usually go to NY for theater, so want to be in that general area. Some I have liked -- and found deals on are The Blakely and The Muse. Friends recently stayed at the Hampton Inn, Times Square and recommend it as good. I book my NY hotels on Quikbook.com or Expressres.com for the best deals. Have gotten both of the above in the $200 price range.

Hey, mclaurie, I didn't know they were a scam until just now! I looked them up on this site and know now.my friend doesn't, either, so I'll be sure to tell her. She used them when they were yourstay.com and had no problems, so it sounds like now that woogo took over, things have changed
so, anyway, calm down, I'm not supporting them any more

Also check www.hotels.com for more suggestions. You input your dates of travel and you can see most of the hotels in the city and the rates being offered during your stay.

I have stayed at quite a few hotels in NYC, but the only one I really enjoyed is the last one I stayed at - The Drake Swissotel on Park Ave. Not the most convenient area for tourists, but I guess that's one of the reasons I like it even more.
I got it through Hotwire as a 4* MTE. Its decor and service is better than most 4* hotels I've stayed at anywhere. And the room is very spacious, especially in NYC standard.
