New York City Restaurant

We're staying at the Courtyard Marriot, 866 Third Avenue. Near by inexpensive or vegetarian restaurants? $10-$15 a person.

Your price is just for an entree, right? Surely you don't mean per person including beverage, tax, and tip, or adding an appetizer or dessert?

Are you looking for a light lunch (some ethnic places do set lunches for $8 or $9) or for a dinner?

And - what do you want included?

Yes, I mean main entree, but just a sandwich or a pannini or wrap. We keep seeing these small places that you buy your food by the pound. We ate at one last night that was pretty bad. Can you recommend a good one? Pret A Manger would have been better, but they were closed. We have our restaurants picked out for our big, expensive dinners, it's just these fast lunches, etc. that we'd like some advice on. Thanks

Look for a Chipotle. This is a chain, but a really good one. They have various wraps or burritos and salads with vegetarian options. Their food is all wonderfully fresh ingredients, very tasty, and is cheap.

There are a number of Indian restaurants near your hotel all of which have vegetarian entrees. Go to menupages.com and select east 50's. Then look at the Indians. Indigo Bistro is not bad.

There are a number of Pax Wholesome foods for take away in that area (but they close around 4-5 pm).
