New York City Ballet Tickets
We want to see the NYC Ballet but are not sure how much to spend on the tickets. Tickets are available in Orchestra, Second Ring, Third Ring and Fourth Ring. We've never been to Lincoln Center - are all the seats good or is it best to splurge on the most expensive tickets? We are on a budget but don't want to waste our money on really bad seats either. Any opinions on this?

I think Second Ring would still be an excellent choice and Third Ring might also still be good. Fourth Ring is very deep and steep, up near the ceiling and a scary sightline for some. First, Second, and Third are only 5-6 rows deep, so any seat in the center section (seats numbered 101-118) would have a good view.

I go for either the orchestra or second ring. I don't like to be any farther from the stage than the second ring at the NY State Theater. And, of course, try to get as close to the center as possible.

We always do the orchestra - if available - since we only go a couple of times a year - and prefer to really enjoy the performance (I hate to crane and stare and hope I'm not missing anything). Definitely don;t go for the Fourth ring - I can;t imagine how you see the footwork from up there.
