New Year San Diego
Hi!!
I am spending Christmas and New Years Eve with my family in La Jolla this year.
I was lookin up for some places to spend New Years Eve.
Do you have any suggestions where we can ring New Year´s? (We are a family of 8, my in laws and my parents around their 60´s and us at our 30´s). I am looking for a place where we can have a late dinner and hang out until 12 o clok to ring the New Year. Just a regular fun place, no huge parties or anything.
And does anyone know if there are gonna be fireworks for New Years Eve?
Thank you so much for your help,

alilup, I live in La Jolla and by 9:00 on NYEve we are sound asleep! So I am not much help, but you might want to check out the Marine Room's website to see if this might work for a large family. It sits on the sand just a few feet from the water at La Jolla Shores. It is pricey so check the menu. I imagine reservations would be required. If you are interested I would call them personally rather than booking online.
I don't know of any fireworks in La Jolla, but Sea World probably will have them. And maybe La Jolla Cove (Kate Session Park) might have them. If they do you would be able to see them from the Marine Room.

Opps not Kate Sessions Park ... meant to type Ellen Browning Scripps Park which is where they have been in years past. I am not sure but you might check with your hotel's front desk about fireworks in La Jolla. There has been a move to ban them over the years for environmental reasons.
