New to Marriott Vacation Club

I'm from the UK and a recent owner of 2 weeks in Marriott's Playa Andaluza in Spain. We're in the process of exchanging them for weeks in Hawaii and have had one week confirmed at Ko Olina Beach Club on Oahu but in an "Efficiency" unit. How does an efficiency unit differ from a one bed apt. and does anyone have experience of these rooms at this resort?

Sorry, I don't know about the rooms specifically but I just finished a Marriott Ko 'Olina trip report here:

The time shares are built almost identical in appearance as the hotel, and a few small beach coves away.

We stayed at the KoOlina Beach Club in an efficiency unit. It has a small sitting area next to the bed, which converts into a extra bed. There is a small kitchen area with a small refrigerator, sink and microwave and cupboards with plates, glasses and silverware. You have a small balcony with chairs. The bathroom was a nice size. The one bedroom has a full kitchen with stove and a separate bedroom area. We didn't spend much time in our room, so the effiency was great for us.

Andy, there is an excellent BBS for Timeshare owners...Timeshare Users Group AKA TUG @ www.tug2.net Check it out for any questions you might have on timesharing, exchanging and resort reviews. It is run by timeshare users NOT the owners or resorts.
