Any other suggestion? Anyone have info on these hotels?

The Loews is probably too big for you.But it works for me..I cant imagine any more luxurious than having a cabana by the pool for the day with a butler peeling us grapes..and waiting on our every whim!Yes, that IS luxury.....And the Gaucho Room is in another world, IMHO.....If you want snob appeal, it will be the Delano....WAY too over the top for me.......

You won't go wrong with either Delano or Shore Club, both very fab and hip.

Last year we stayed one night in Miami Beach on our way back from our honeymoon and we stayed at the Bentley. Definitely swanky....as in the front desk is up one floor from the small entrance so only guests can get to it.....and the person at the desk stands every time a guest goes to the desk. The pool is roof top which provides a nice view of the ocean....the restaurant wasn't open when we were there...my guess it was "slow time" because it was September although there was plenty of action up and down the street at night and the Bentley is small. The rooms are also fabulous....

The Delano is hip, self-consciously fab, full of attitude. If you want to play Eurotrash poseur, this is the place! The Blue Door restaurant is incredibly overrated.

For the money, I'd say stay at the National, the Sagamore, the Hotel or (best of all) the Tides.

The Hotel has my favorite South Beach restaurant, Wish. Fusion cuisine (Continental/nouvelle cuisine with Brazilian and Floribbean touches), perfectly presented, perfectly delicious. You will love it!
