New Orleans Parking
I found a fabulous price to stay at the Ritz Carlton in New Orleans. The only problem is parking. It's $32. a day. I assume there most be 24 hour parking lots around or near the hotel. Would anyone know of any? Help!

The last time we parked at the Royal Sonesta - pre-Katrina - the parking was $35 a day. They do own their lot.
If I were you, I'd call the Ritz Carlton and ask them directly if there's a parking lot nearby. I'm pretty sure there's one in the general vicinity of the aquarium, but can't remember the exact location. Even so, that's not close enough to your hotel.

What I do sometimes is park in the Warehouse District and take the St. Charles Streetcar back downtown.
Since you're at the Ritz, I'd park in MidCity along some side street off Canal there and take the Canal Streetcar back.
Just make sure you park in an area where there is some foot traffic and where it looks relatively safe.
That way your parking will be free.

I got the $179 per night including breakfast and $25 per night credit.
It's the reconnect package.
At this time I can't say that I would recommend The Ritz, the employees are uninformed and the hotel is okay not great, our bathroom is not cleaned daily. The Ritz's restaurant Melange is listed as one of the participating restaurants for the COOLings NO in the tourism guide. When asked about the special not only have they cut back the menu significantly but the restaurant staff told me that they are doing any specials. I spoke with the concierge this morning and she told me that they are supposed to be participating.
Had a great meal at the Red Fish Grill, great food and friendly staff.

Versailles,
Sorry the Ritz didn't live up to your expectations. The Windsor Court may be more to your liking next time, or perhaps one of the classics like the "Monteleone".
Did the Red Fish Grill accept the COOLinary NO deal? They are also listed.
Commander's Palace and the Brennan chain all recognize the special.

As far as I know the other restaurants are participating in the COOLinary NO..you have to request it when making reservations or upon entering the restaurant. We ate off the A La Carte menu at the Red Fish it was great the praline bread pudding was insane, I chose to share with my husband and immediately had regrets after the first bite. They have a BBQ oyster that is a must try if you go. I certainly understand why they've won so many awards. Cafe Du Monde has amazing coffee and beignets but the staff was disorganized and rude,it's a tourist attraction...I tried it enjoyed what was served and left. Aunt Sally's chewy pralines ...to die for, I must have gained 5 pounds in 3 day.
It's so worth it.
