New Orleans Intimate Romantic Restaurant

I'm looking for a romantic, intimate, candlelit restaurant. Any recommendations
greatly appreciated!

Anyone have any comments on Bella Luna or the Feelings Cafe?

Le Crepe Nanou in Uptown and Feelings Cafe in the Marigny are a couple of great choices for a romantic, candlelit dinner.

Feelings is great-take a cab there, even though it is not far from the Quarter- reserve a balcony table-enjoy.

Another vote for Feelings. Went there last year for our two year anniversary and it was a wonderful meal.

I'd vote for the patio at Commander's Palace.

I vote for La Crepe Nanou - a favorite of ours for over 15 years! We went there 3 nights before our first child was born, and went back 3 months later on my birthday!

The March issue of National Geographic Traveller has a spread on New Orleans.

For our anniversary every year we pick Commander's Palace. The food is excellent, service will spoil you & the atmosphere on the patio & in the garden room can't be beat. Just depends on when you're going. Patio can be pretty warm if it's summer.

Check it out at http://www.commanderspalace.com/new_orleans/index.php
Click on general information to see a picture of the patio setting.

This site has several shots of the different areas.

I thought my last meal at Bella Luna was one of the best meals I've eaten in New Orleans, and that's saying a lot! The view was very romantic--you need to make arrangements ahead of time to get one of the best tables overlooking the water. it's got gorgeous views of the river and the Crescent City connection. Service was impeccable, not spotty as in so many other famed restaurants in town that seem to rest on their laurels. Food was terrific, desserts divine. (As it should be, in my opinion.) Hope you have a fab time, no matter where you choose to dine.
