New Orleans Area - Spring Break

We want to support the area and have a nice vacation with our 14 year old son. Are they any resorts/activites that you can recommend for us? We like to explore plus enjoy sports. Are there any nice golf resorts not far from New Orleans? What is the weather like in late March? Thanks for any input!!

March is great weatherwise!

I would probably concentrate on "city" activities in New Orleans since it's such a unique city with so many things to see and do. Save the golf for the Marriott Grand in Point Clear, Alabama...two hours away. Nice resort and newly reopened I believe.
