Nevada and California Here I Come!
Planning a two week trip starting one week in Las Vegas and driving to Anaheim, CA for a week. Have accommodations, but looking to the experts in these areas for "must see" in Nevada, on the way to Anaheim and in CA. Definitely want to do San Diego Zoo, Hoover Dam, LA, maybe DisneyWorld. Keep my list going! All welcome!

Anaheim for a WEEK? Not my cup of tea, but....
It's DisneyLAND, by the way. And San Diego is about 100 miles from Anaheim, so I would lop a couple of days off the week in Anaheim and spend them in lovely, fun San Diego. In fact, I'd find accommodations elsewhere in southern California so you'd get a better taste of the best the area has to offer: Great beaches, great restaurants, great cultural offerings, etc., etc., etc. But that's me.
When is this trip, by the way?

We belong to Fairfield timeshare. That is why we are in Anaheim (also in Las Vegas). We are staying at Dolphin Cove Resort. We live in Maryland and drive alot, so 100 miles is a drop in the bucket. Our trip isn't until June 16th, but what is most fun is planning it.

Yes, anaheim for a week is way too much, that from a major fan or wallyworld
Instead, how about adding a day in Laguna or Newport Beach, or a couple days in San Diego (tons to see and do) or see Nixon's Library / Museum in Yorba Linda (very close to anaheim), or even venture into LaLa land and do the movie studio tour thing.
We did Death Valley Nat'l Park and Joshua Tree Nat'l Park a couple times in july and while it was a bit balmy
it can be done. Forget the long hikes but there's still alot to see.
Have fun planning!
