Whatever you do, don't go to the Old Lahaina Luau:
1. Expensive, over $80 pp w/tax,tip.
2. Food is really bad, and it's not a lavish spread either. Very minimal.
3. Free alcohol, but drinks are watery and weak. I'm a big drinker, and I could only finish one mai tai.
4. Show doesn't start till 8:00 pm, until then there is no entertainment.
5. Show is very traditional. No fire, etc. I prefer the polynesian variety.
End of Rant.

PS. Hula Grill's a nice place to eat, reasonable too. Sansei in Kapalua has terrific sushi, not too$$$.
And if you really want to save money, take a few time share tours. You should be able to generate over $500 in local vouchers (good almost anywhere in area). Whether you want to waste your time doing that is another matter.
