One Week in Maui - Must Do's?

So, I'm headed to Maui with my family this August for a week (group of 9, all grown adults). We're already renting a beach house in Maui Meadows, but are looking for the must-sees and must-do's. It's a big group, so we're interested in a bit of everything - outdoorsy, active things (i.e., biking, hiking), beautiful beaches, etc.

Also, anyone know where to get a good surfing instructor? Took lessons on Oahu, and loved it and want to do it again.

I've read about the Hana Highway, and that sounds cool - any tips?

Thanks a lot!

Road to Hana (7 pools/ Oheo Gulch, Haleakala (bike tour sounds fun), Snorkeling south of Makena or snorkel/ boat trip to Molokini or Lanai. Take a walk at the Iao Needle. Explore and hike in Upcountry (Makawao, Kula, Haiku). Beaches nice and sunny on the south side (I think that's where Maui Meadows is). Also, Hookipa beach near Paia is very pretty (watch the wind surfers. There's a blow hole on the west end. The road near there is narrow and curvy!
I'm not familiar with surfing instructors.

Tips for road to Hana: leave early, pack a picnic lunch (and possibly dinner) and rent a convertible to get the 'full effect'.
Even better, spend a night in Hana so you have more time to explore! We saw alot, but ran out of time and missed some things I wanted to include.

Road trip to Hana a must.
Snorkel trip to Lanai
Warren & Annabelle's
Going into Lahaina town one evening
Zipline

Just a couple of things off the top of my head. In Maui you can't go wrong no matter what you do.

Maui Swap Meet, only open on Sat. from 7am-12pm. All the local farmers bring their produce, and the local artists sell their art. You can't miss this. It's alway one of my favorite things to do, and the price is right .50 cents admission. Mahalo

You have to do the Haleakala sunrise / bike ride!!! It was the the best thing my husband and I did in Maui. I can't remember what company we went with but they picked us up at our hotel in the wees hours of the morning so we would be on top during sunrise. Then after daylight we geared up on our bikes and followed the lead guy down. It's a really enjoyable and easy ride. No pedaling necessary! Great scenery and smells!!! You'll love it! : ) I would do it again in a heartbeat!

My kids & brother-in-law took a surf lesson with Goofy Foot in Lahaina. They came hightly recommended in a couple of places and we were pleased.

We LOVED the snorkeling at Honolua Bay north of Lahaina. It was absolutely amazing.
