Need New Orleans hotel help ASAP????

I am hoping that you can help me as I am planning a very last minute trip to New Orleans on Monday and want to get a hotel on the internet at a cheaper price.Any thoughts on the "Ambassador Hotel"est Western Parc ST.Charles or the Best Western ST. Christopher? I want something reasonable yet close enough to the Quarter and other things so we do not need a car. Thanks for any help on making this decision!

I live in Baton Rouge but have never heard of any of these hotels. Check Expedia.com - I thought they had some good rates for Monday.

Just looking provisionally at a two-night stay (Monday-Tuesday), I see you can get Homewood Suites on Poydras Street for $116/night, which is an excellent rate for a very nice place to stay. The even more conveniently-located Hampton Inn on Carondelet is available for $99/night.

My husband and his friends stayed at the BW St Christopher in March. They said it was fine and a good location. They'd have no problem staying there again. I had gotten them a really good rate thru a Travelzoo special. I think it was 50% off so they only paid $59 for a weeknight and $89 for the weekend.
