Need list of upcoming conferences in Chicago
I am choosing a date to go see Wicked in Chicago with my sister & niece in April.(Great show-it'll be their Christmas gift)
I want to avoid the weekends with huge conferences scheduled, but I can't find a Chicago upcoming conference schedule online.
Thanks for your help!

I think this is a sort of back-headed way to do vacation planning. Cities like Chicago, NY, and Las Vegas thrive on convention and business travel. There is likely going to be a big conference or convetion--or a lot of small conferences and conventions--almost every week of the year.
I'd suggest not worrying about it and just find a weekend when the prices are reasonable.

Thanks for the help. It dawned on me to google "Chicago conventions" instead of "Chicago conferences" and found the schedule.
I learned to plan around huge gatherings when I recently tried to book a room in Chicago on Hotwire. All rooms listed were over $400 a night. Come to find there were 123,000 people scheduled to be at conventions that day in Chicago.
I'd like to avaid that scenario!

I do Priceline Chicago all the time and 3 or 4 months out I get great $$ price/location rooms despite who is in town.
I got a room at Swissotel on the Marathon weekend for $69 per night- but I pd 4 months in advance.
