Need Hotel in Austin, Texas

I am attending a conference in Austin in late October and would like to book a luxery hotel or condo downtown for 5 nights. Any suggestions?

Oooooh, The Driskell. (BTW, the food in Austin is to die for...and the size of the servings will definitely add inches to your waistline!) Be sure to visit all the music venues. What a great city. Enjoy your trip.Umm, I hope you can find time to actually attend some of your conference meetings...

i think they have nailed it for you--from my experience those are the nicest luxury hotels. there are some B & B's near the capital that seem very nice.

We just stayed at the downtown Omni, 2 blocks from 6th St., and had a very nice stay there. Have a great time!

Hi Syndie-

For a luxary hotel, defintely the Driskill or the Four Seasons. There is a hotel called the San Jose on So. Congress that you might enjoy as well, though defintely not as plush as Four Seasons.

If you want to experience old Texas charms in an elegant settling, you definitely should stay at the Drikill. It can get a bit noisy on the weekends, since, the hotel is located smack in the middle of the entertainment district.
