Need help with spa for me and wife

We will be traveling to Maui, Four Seasons, in September. I would like to surprise my wife with a message treatment at a spa. I'm open to anything but would like to stay around Wailea. Any insight? Thank you in advance.

the four seasons has a wonderful spa i believe. they have oceanside massages under a palapa-type hut which i've been told is wonderful. i was there a few weeks ago for a wedding of a college friend and she and her husband both had a massage there. they loved it.

The Grand Wailea apparently has a decadent spa-and a lovely restaurant as well...I would definitely check it out-they have a website I believe,,,

The spa at the Grand Wailea Hotel is
incredible! Wonderful therapeutic baths,
traditional Japanese bath, and all the
rest. I had a facial and a massage; both
were great. They have a menu of all
kinds of massges. What a treat!

One more vote for Grand Wailea... My good friend, a Hawaii native, highly recommended we check it out on our upcoming trip to Maui. I can't imagine she would steer me wrong! We can't wait to go. And by the way, what an absolutely WONDERFUL surprise for your wife! Kudos!

Thanks everyone. Peggy and Gina, I was leaning toward the Grand Wailea, but heard their facilities had really taken a turn for the worse. Most of this was referring to the rooms, but was worried the spa may have also took a down turn. Have you heard anything? Thank you.

I was at the Spa for a half day last Tuesday and absolutely loved it. The service is great, the free loofa scrub feels wonderful. The various baths, especially the tropical bath is to die for. It is like taking a bath at a beautiful palace in Italy. The special waterfall showers are also fun. The place is immaculate and they use only the best products. I had a massage there that I enjoyed, but it was not the best massage I ever had. I was in a room where there were vents in the top of the room and you could hear chatter from the pool. I would ask for one of the quieter rooms if you get a massage.
