Need help quick. Driving instructions from Fresno to Monteray Bay

I live in Fresno and go to Monterey/Santa Cruz area often. I cannot imagine going any other way but 152 and Pacheco Pass. Makes totally no sense the other way. Sorry.
Also of interest "on the way" or "on the way back," is the mission at San Juan Bautista. Cute little town with several neat restaurants.
