Need help getting to Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort

Hi All,
I will be traveling with my 6 year old daughter to the Big Island.
I will arrive at the Kona airport and I am not planning to rent a car.

What are my options in terms of getting from the Kona airport to the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort?

Any advice is appreciated.

IS.

we used speedishuttle on Maui and they are great. Go to website and you can get a quote. Can choose either group or alone type of transportation (I believe)

its speedishuttle.com

You could take a taxi. Or you could call the resort and see what they recommend.

I already checked with the hotel and they don’t have anything.
The Speedshutle is $ 45.00 one way: I am trying to find something less expesive .

I don't think there's any especially inexpensive ways to get around Big Island without a car. BI doesn't have the bus system Oahu has.

Once you get to the hotel, did you plan on doing any siteseeing or activities? How will you get to them?

Maybe you should rent a car.

Did the hotel recommend transportation? It isn't exactly close to the airport so it will cost a bit to get there.

Are you planning on only staying in the Waikoloa area and not do any sightseeing?

The island is pretty big so not having a car will not allow you to get far.

Enjoy your trip.

Cars are very reasonable at the airport; might be well worth it to get one. (what if you want to go to Hapuna, or another beach than A-Bay? A-bay is ok, but it's a salt and pepper beach; you and the DD might want to enjoy a beautiful soft white sand beach, several of which are down the road. You also might be wanting groceries, or other dining options).

I agree that you'll need a car. The Big Island is really amazing, ans to just camp at a resort and not see anything else is a waste...

BTW (while I'm here), I got a 10 day rental recently from (Kona airport) National for $127 (all in); given the fees pp for shuttles, the freedom and control offered by having a car, seems like you'd be better off having your own wheels!
