Need help finding golf course San Francisco-Tahoe

My husband and I (from Boston area) will be visiting SF and Lake Tahoe in mid-June. We want to play golf 2 days and need recommendations for courses near our routes between SF and Tahoe or up/down coast toward Russian River or Big Basin to combine with redwood viewing. Looking for courses in good condition, scenic, green fees about $75 or less. Thanks to all

Park Presidio in SF has a golf course, and it's scenic, but that's all I know.

I'm not a golfer so I don't know the names of these but there is a golf course at South Shore(Stateline areas) at Tahoe and one in Kings Beach. There is one or two in Truckee..around Northstar. There are also like 7 courses in Reno/Sparks..building more..not sure of public courses in the City..There are a couple in Marin..north of the City across the GG bridge. Sonoman County also has several. Have you tried to google maybe?

There are two courses at Incline Village in Tahoe: a "championship" and "mountain". The championship is the one you'd want to play, but its greens fees are probably double what you want to pay. The mountain course is an executive layout.

I've also played Northstar, near Tahoe. The front is out and around a meadow; nice views, but not particularly interesting. The back is a tricked up bunch of holes carved out of the forest. Don't go out of your way to play here.

I know there are a couple other courses around Tahoe. Have you tried googling?

Thanks beachbum and everyone else. I should have mentioned that I have searched the CA golf online directories and found a number of courses. What I am looking for really is first-hand reviews from golfers who have played in the area because the the course website descriptions put the best spin on them, naturally. Any feedback on Saddle Creek (Copperopolis), Dark Horse (Auburn) or Mare Island? Or can you recommend a website with recent reviews?

The only one I've played is Presidio and I'd say it is a must-do.
