Need Bar Harbor Hotel Advice

Staying in Bar Harbor for July 4th with a toddler. Would like to enjoy the parade, fireworks, etc. How far is The Bayview Bar Harbor Hotel from all the fun stuff in the town? The Bar Harbor Inn is already booked. We need a studio or suite for our son. What hotel do you recommend? A pool is very important for us.

The Bayview is at least 1/2 mile from town. The Harborside is very nice and right on the harbor. The Bar Harbor Grand is also nice, and I believe they have suites. It's located only a block or two from the Village Green. If you're staying longer than a few days, you may want to check into house rentals. Cyber rental has some nice ones, or check maineislandproperties.com

We stayed at the Bar Harbor Motel. They have a 2-bedrom family unit. They had a heated pool. It was a clean family-run motel. We loved it & would return. The did have shuttle buses to different locations throughout the day.

The pool at the Bay View is tiny. Maybe okay for a toddler, but tiny.

The Bar Harbor Grand is a winner; walking distance to shops and ferries. Staff was great, rooms were spacious and clean. They do have suites. Take a jacket, even in the summer; it sometimes gets cloudy and drizzly up there.
