<no one ever told me there were places to go to just for sex >
Huh?
There have been places to go just for sex ever since there's been sex. I don't see what being gay or straight or bi or whatever has to do with it.

Sorry cd,

but seriously just because your friends don't frequent them (or maybe they do and just never told you) certainly doesn't mean they don't exist. Back rooms of gay bars, bathhouses, rest stops, camps, resorts, there are loads of places gay men can go "just for sex".

Uh, and straight men, and straight women, and gay women, and so on and so on...people like sex, and they find all sorts of places to have it.

I guess like houses of prostitution for straight people, just for free

You're right Dawn, you learn something new on Fodor's all the time.

NewbE, I don't know of any straight or gay women who go to bath houses to have sex with strangers.

Well, then, suze, there must not be any. You win.

I have lots of gay friends and I assume some visit bath house back rooms, have casual sex, etc . . . they just don't go into the details with me

However one thing I definitely agree . . . I cannot for life of me imagine one of them registering on Fodors to ask this. They all have other sources/resources/friends/networks/ and wouldn't think of asking on a general travel website.

I have two gay friends who tell me everything, and I do mean *everything*.

I still maintain I have never known women (gay or straight) to do the frequent, random, anonymous sex thing. Though I do know a nudist or two.

I guess my gay friends are just more discreet . . . I don't tell them about my sex life and they don't tell me

suze, I honestly believe you could carry on an argument with a lamp post.

Oh don't feel bad NewbE. I don't think of you as a lamp post.

Gay bath houses were used for sex in the early 80's in NYC.

Any way what does this have to do with clothing optional resorts.

But as an older straight guy options mean to me either basked potato or fries.

>>Any way what does this have to do with clothing optional resorts.>2) A place with no evident sexual energy, but still with the option to get into it.

Has the OP tried googling, gay but not too gay, optional resorts with limited options, no sexual energy but with a wink here or there for bears, panda and otherwise?

The Travelodge near me has a bear on the sign out front.
This bear is wearing a nightgown and cap.
Therefore this would not meet the op's criteria.

Wait, I googled Travelodge and saw their updated bear logo.
He is not wearing pants.

Well since Carlos is a brand new member perhaps he doesn't realize that people here generally don't get into sexual preferences in their travel posts.

I was under the assumption that this site was a forum for travelling advice. He had a valid question about a specific vacation desire. It wasn't an invitation for ridicule. When I read the posts, if I have knowledge to share I speak up. If not, I let someone with that specific knowledge answer. There might have been another like-minded reader that could help, but my guess is they would fear ridicule and decide to keep quiet...as I imagine our original poster will in the future. It's a sad day fellow Foderites when one is made to believe that a vacation must meet your narrow criteria or it doesn't matter. I like to drive for days on end and see as much as possible while staying in cheap hotels. I love my vacations! I would go nuts staying in one place for a week or more. I would feel slighted. I won't pay $300 a night for a place to lay my head. I could use that towards gas to keep on sightseeing. If anyone posts here about Yellowstone in one day ya'll go apecrazy! I don't write trip reports because I know you would just rip it to shreds. Come on and grow up. The guy wants a vacation his way. If I knew of a semi-sexy, fun, clothing optional resort for hairy loving men I'd be glad to share. I'll get off my soapbox now.
