Need advice: Clothing optional in Palm Springs

We are a gay couple, 46 and 47 y/o, planning for a 1-week vacation in Palm Springs on late september / early october. We need your advice on where to stay. Requirements would be:

1) Clothing optional, with guys really wanting to be naked and see you naked in shared areas (full and permanent nudity is a MUST for me).
2) A place with no evident sexual energy, but still with the option to get into it.
3) A place that is not dead during weekdays, and with the option to socialize.
4) Relaxed, quiet at night (I am sensitive to noise).
5) Hopefully with a large amount of rooms, so that enough guys will stay there.
6) Location: not important, we will rent a car.

Given these considerations and after investigating quite a bit on the internet, our top-3 options are:

- INNdulge
- Santiago Resort
- Warms Sands Villas

We are bears and LOVE bears, so one option would be the "Bearfoot Inn" but I have heard that is a bit noisy, not well kept, and too few rooms.

Any advice?

Have you looked on any of the so-called "bear oriented" sites for recommendations? I was thinking about BearForest at first but not sure they'd have any info but you could try.

Or perhaps something like this site:

Try looking here:

This is one of those requests that is probably not gonna have a lot of input from Fodorites so you're going to have to do some searching around and combine the info you get from various places.

There is no overtly sexual vibe at The Holiday Inn, but if you show up at the pool wearing only flip-flops something exciting will happen.

Thanks suze, I also wondered about that. Actually, I don't understand a lot of his post. Are they exclusive, just nudist, or are they looking to swing?

cd,

I am going to say definitely nudists because of:
<full and permanent nudity is a MUST>

And the possibility of sex with others because of:
<with the option to get into it>

suze - there you have it. I learn something on Fodors all the time!

CD - I am befuddled by much of it if it makes you feel any better!

I have many gay male friends. This is not all that unusual of a post or requests in certain circles.

Stupid here. So there are hotels/motels that cater to people who swing?

The only thing I'm puzzled about by this post is why Fodor's, instead of any of many gay-specific websites and internet forums where they'd be a lot more likely to get answers to their questions (without having to explain themselves).

Maybe they want to educate us. I am surprised as I do have gay friends and no one ever told me there were places to go to just for sex as being gay is so much more than sex just as being straight is so much more than just sex.
