WOW! I just red through the above link at the prices for the 'road' games. We got tickets to the Cavs V Lakers in LA, cost us about $200 per seat, but we are up in the nose-bleed section. I hope we will still get the feel of it all up there. I was led to think that the stadiums are quite steep and smallish, so hopefully, the seats will prove ok. We got them through Ticketmaster from season ticket-holders selling them. As we are coming from Australia, I really had no idea of how good the seats were, what the price hike was, or whether we were doing ok. I also had no idea of how to wrangle tickets through any other system. It allowed me to download them instantly, so I'm happy!!

It will be fun just to be in the stadium. Try to see if you can arrive at the stadium early – the Sixers allow you to enter the lower section and hang out so kids can try to get autographs as the players exit from practice back into the locker room. The Phillies allow this too, but I know that some places do not let you in any section where you don't have a ticket. You couldn't do something like this at Yankee Stadium.
Anyway, if you can get a bit closer, even if it's just during warm-ups, you can get a real appreciation for the sheer physical presence of LeBron James.

I NEVER had problems buying tickets from the scalpers in front of the stadium.
Manchester United in UK, Chicago Bears whatever game we chose to attend.
We just wait until the last minute when the scalpers realize that they will end up holding a worthless piece of paper unless they sell the tickets. We got really lucky when we bought Chicago Bears vs Tampa Bucs tickets. Got box seats with waitress service, roomy seats for under $50 face value, right on the 40 yard line. That was fun.
One of the Manchester United tickets I bought from a scalper just before the match was about to start put me right behind ManU bench. I still have the match program signed by Sir Alex, David Beckham, and possibly by Ryan Giggs.
All I'm saying, that's always an option.

Hi. Can anyone please help me? I'm located in Australia. We were on holiday in NYC and had tickets to the NBA. The game was postponed due to the blizzard. Ticketmaster won't give me a refund because they were TM+ tickets and the game was not 'cancelled'. I can't sell the tickets on Ticketmaster because I don't have a US bank account. I can't sell them on Stubhub because I don't have a US address. I don't want to lose my money. They're really great seats (SECTION 211, ROW 3, SEATS 13,14,15). Any suggestions on how I can sell these tickets? Thanks in advance.

sparkleban: Sorry -- but I think you are stuck. Travel insurance might take care of it -- dunno.
My guess is it was the Kings Knicks game- there won't be a lot of people searching for that game since they are both pitiful teams this year (I'm a Kings season ticket holder so I can say that ). Though Knicks games do draw.
Maybe try Craigs List since you can make private arrangements. Good luck.
