Royal, the new Naples phone book just came today -- and so they do. There is a Jane's Cafe on Pine Ridge -- must have escaped my radar (not that I head that far north for breakfast very often!).

Patrick, both Jane's and Sunburst are quite close to where we stay although I have only tried the Jane's down on Third.

Any new restaurants or closings since we left in April?

I lose track of time, but you may know that Macaroni Grill closed, as did Pippins.
Marie-Michelle's at the Village on Venetian Bay has closed after many years.

Capital Grille is about to open in a week at Mercato -- across from Flemings. There is now a new Calistoga at the Coastland Mall.

Rumors persist that Ruth Chris and Ted's Montana Grill will be closing, but they seem to be hanging on through the summer, so I don't see them closing now.

There is a lot of buzz about a new place on Third St. South called Sea Salt to open in the old Mark, Fore, and Strike place. But I understand the general manager was just arrested and fired for "stealing from the till" where he works now, so I'm not sure what's happening there.

We have a new Bonefish Grill downtown where the old Boat Haven Marina was by the Gordon River Bridge, and is now replaced with a condo/hotel. There's also a nice rather pricey place in there called Olio.

Thanks Patrick.

Wow I can't believe Marie-Michelle's has closed. We had lunch there a couple of times last year and it was quite busy. Food was very good both times.

The Calistoga was there last winter at Coastland - good spot.

Interesting note about the general manager at the new place on Third.

Looking forward to our return - love Naples.
