Nantucket Lodging
My husband and I are planning a trip to Nantucket for 1 night in mid September and were hoping to receive recommendations as to great places to stay. We are looking for a place that is under $500/night.

I used to work for Winthrop who owned the WE about 15 years ago and when Winthrop bought it from Beinecke they moved the pool at considerable expense because our boss didn't like the previous location! So now it cracks me up that the latest owners filled it in altogether. Have no idea why they did that.
When I lived on Nantucket I used to rent one of the Wharf Cottages for family if there were more coming than my little house could accommodate. Everyone loved sleeping right there on the docks listening to the waves all night. After Labor Day the price goes down considerably. The A&P grocery is right next to the Wharf Cottages so you can make breakfast and picnic lunches so you can save the big bucks for the restaurants in the evening.
