Nantucket Inn Advice Needed

I am re-posting my message because I realized the message title was incorrect! And I really could use some help!

I am trying to plan a surprise trip for my husband to Nantucket and could use some advice on accommodations.
I found a good deal with the Manor House/Roberts House (we're going off season) but cannot find any pictures of their rooms online. The Union Street Inn looks lovely, but costs twice as much. I've searched this forum and haven't found any recent postings truly describing what the Roberts House and/or Manor House are like.
I would love some advice on the rooms at the Roberts House and/or Manor House. While we aren't too picky and don't need the top of the line, we do like to stay in nice rooms and appreciate nice touches that inns often provide. In addition, since this is a birthday surprise, I would like it to be in a nice place.
Thank you in advance for any information.
Melissa

My husband and I go to Nantucket frequently, and have stayed at many of the B&Bs in town. We stayed at the Roberts House recently during the off season and paid $75.00 for our room. Our room was on the third floor, and was comfortable but not as well-appointed as some of the other places that we have stayed. Overall, the inn is nice, has a good location, and we thought that it was a very good deal. However, we stayed there b/c we needed to be on the island, and just wanted a place to stay that was not going to cost too much. You may want to check out some other places that offer off season rates. If you go to www.nantucket.net, you can go to the lodging section and many of the inns and B&Bs have pictures of the rooms on their websites. Good luck!

Hi Marie-
Thank you very much for your response. It always helps to hear from someone who has stayed there before. It's a tough decision because the Roberts House does offer such a great deal! Do you have any particular inn in mind that you would recommend?

Hi MelissaBella: B&B's that i would recommend: Sherburne Inn, The Corner House, The Centerboard, The Cobblestone Inn, The Captain Albert Wood House...all in town and all much nicer than either Manor House or Roberts House......

You've gotten some good suggestions. Also try Seven Sea Street (it's a newer post and beam inn) and Brant Point/Atlantic Mainstay. 18 Gardner is another possibility, as is the Brass Lantern. Also, if you want a nice, casual restaurant, the Atlantic Cafe is a good choice. Enjoy your visit.

Brass Lantern is nice, as is Fair Gardens, one of their sister properties.

We also very frequently stay at the Anchor Inn, which is lovely and very reasonable.
