Help! Visiting May 2005 (2 women and a 11 yr. girl), trying to do my research. We have from 11am Fri to 3pm Sun to accomplish as much as possible. Staying at the Belvedere in Mid-Town near Times Sq. Could someone help me organize my to-do list so I can be most efficient. Here's the list of must-dos and a separate list of hope-to-dos. Thanks!

Personally, I think that it too short a time to try and squeeze in a broadway play but that is just my opinion.

Go to the top of the ESB during the dinner hour. I would tell you to buy your tickets online but if visibility is bad, you'll waste your money and you only have a short time span.

Skip MoMA right now because it really isn't worth the trip to the Bronx. A better bet would be the Met.

Take the subway (first five cars) to Bowling Green and walk through Battery Park to the Staten Island Ferry. Best time to view is at dusk when they light her up. View coming back of lower Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge lit up is breathtaking.

Walk up to Brooklyn Bridge. You only need to walk halfway.

From there walk over to City Hall and hop on subway to Canal Street and exit to shop. You may want to walk up to Mulberry which is Little Italy to eat.

Back on subway and ride to Grand Central. View the constellations on the ceiling. How did they do that?

Friday: Moma, then St. Patrick's, then walk towards Chrysler Building. Head into Grand Central. Go see Broadway Show.

Saturday Morning: Subway to South Ferry. Take the Staten Island Ferry for Statue of Liberty photo op. Get off ferry head over to the Globe from the WTC plaza that now stands Battery Park. Continue up Broadway past historic Trinity Church and St. Paul's. Walk to WTC site. Walk a few blocks over to the Brooklyn Bridge.

Afternoon, free to explore Soho and the Village. Early evening Empire State Building.

Sunday: Explore Central Park.

MoMA is not in Bronx but temporarily in Queens. In any case, it's scheduled to re-open in it's orginal location in Nov 2004 so by May it should most definitely be open and I'm sure great. MoMA is close to St. Patrick's so while there, you should stop in St. Pat's and have a look. St. Pat's is across from Rockefeller Center which is also worth checking out if you're in the area.

Queens! Sorry, and also didn't see May 2005 for reopening of MoMA. Is the general concensus that it will make its projected reopening?

Why was I thinking 2007?

One correction to GoTravels post, if you take the 4 or 5 train to Bowling Green, you don't need to be in the first 5 cars. I believe she is thinking of the 1/9 to the South Ferry Station where you do need to be in the front. From your hotel, several train lines will put you within a block of either the ferry or the WTC site. Really just a function of where you're starting from and how comfortable you feel in switcing from express trains to local trains.
