Must see San Fran
Hello my wife and I have three days in San Fran early July. We've booked Alcatraz. We're quite active in our early 30s and would love to know what else you would recommend. Some great night time things would be good too. My wife has visited several time but always on business.
Thanks

One of my favorite things to do in San Francisco is take a ferry ride to Sausalito and Tiburon. If you're really in good shape, walk up the hill in Sausalito to Alta Mira, an old hotel with terrace restaurant with awesome views. In just 3 days though, you might not want to do that. Here's a long interesting thread to read

Rent bikes from Blazing Saddles, bike around and then over the Golden Gate to Sausalito, hang out there some with perhaps a meal or drink, then take the ferry back to Fisherman's Wharf. That will take up part/most of an afternoon.

I really liked the walk down the Filbert Steps from Coit Tower. If you're more active than me, you can walk UP.

We booked a city tour on our first day. Then we went back to see everything that piqued our interest on the tour. If you do the Sausalito tour, you can include the Muir Woods- absolutely breathtaking.
