Most romantic resort in Florida ?

What is the most romantic resort in Florida Keys? Also throughout Florida?

I will be surprising my husband with a trip from 9/28/02-10/6/02 to Florida.

We would like the fllowing:

1) Beautiful resort with waterfalls in the swimming pool
2) Tropical landscaping around the pool (lots of palm trees)
3) Tiki bars or swim up pool bar
4) Activities near by in case we get tired of swimming
5) The ocean or gulf side within driving distance or we
wouldn't mind staying right ON the ocean
6) Clean and upscale looking.

Thank you in advance!

There is a travel show on of course the travel channel called "Great Hotels". There is a new Disney hotel called "Animal Kingdon". Looks incredible worth an investigation on your part. Hotel is on savanah grounds (roaming African wildlife). Main lobby looks like a grand lodge like you have never ever scene.

I am not a theme park person would never ever consider Disney for anything romantic or fun but this hotel looks very grand. It is brand new so I suspect it won't be swamped people.

I was there this week for dinner- Boma's- an awesome restaurant. However, it's not brand new. It's been open almost two years. It is swamped with people, but it is also a great hotel as far as I can tell, I've only eaten there, not stayed there. The animals are awesome and come up right to the back of the hotel. Every detail in the lobby is the best- you might be able to get some deals, as I've heard they are the only Disney hotel to offer some sale prices.

Please keep them coming!

Thanks again!

In the Keys there is Kona Kai on Key Largo. It doesn't have all the things you mentioned but it is very nice. Check their website.
