Most romantic resort in Walt Disney World Florida
Does anyone know which is the most romantic resort in Walt Disney World Florida? We are open and don't have to necesarily stay at one of the Disney accomodations.
This is our requirement:
Beautiful landscaped grounds with waterfall in the swimming pool.
A bar outside that serves tropical drinks (preferably a tiki type bar)
Nice clean rooms that are new or updated
Thanks a ton!

Susie,
I didn't see one. They have a "volcano" with slides. The lifeguarded pool seemed to be mostly kids and families. They have a smaller, quiet pool also.
with so many kids at Disney, I'm not sure I could Eqate the hotel with romantic.
The Grand Floridian, which is newer, did look quite nice as we went by.
My guess is that you could find a more romantic property at a more adult hotel.

Romantic applied to WDW does seem like an oxymoron, but for the most romantic spot...
I vote the Poly...nice rooms, mature, lush vegetation...and an "air" about it.
I will never forget my first introduction to the GF...a beautiful property. We entered from the monorail entrance, heard the piano echoing through the grand lobby. Anticipating greatness, we got to the balcony rail, surveyed the scene, and there was this guy, about 300 pounds, in a wet bathing suit and a t-shirt with his navel hanging out, sitting on a lobby sofa, drinking a beer and eating Cheetos.
I so wanted it to be like the Del Coronado, but...

Definitely Grand Floridian, concierge level. I do believe their smaller pool has waterfall/slide, but not tropical. Absolutely beautiful resort. We could see Cinderellas castle from our room and watched the nightly fireworks above the castle from our balcony.
Had a superb meal/service at Victoria & Alberts.
Polynesian is also wonderful and very tropical.....
