Monterrey - Breakfast Spot

Hi -
Can anyone recommend a great breakfast spot in Monterrey? I'm particularly fond of Eggs Benedict. But don't let that restrict you!
Thank you,
Emily

Monterey Peninsula in California - specifically, in Monterey or Carmel. No restaurants in Mexico please.

Emily, the senoraareyoulost poster was making fun at your expense. When you spell Monterrey with two "r"s you end up in a place in Mexico. The one in CA is spelled with one R. I hope someone who is less of a jokester can make a breakfast recommendation for you.

Your restaraunt is The Monterey Cafe on Alvarado Street.

They have great French Roast, benedict varieties and sooo much of sooo much more. Get there at about 0830 for no waiting. But if you must wait, it will not be long.

FRESH AWAKENINGS is located in the outlet mall across the street from the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Don't let the location fool you. Great breakfast and people are lined up to get in.

For a cheap place that is popular with the locals go to TOASTIES on Lighthouse in Pacific Grove...about 1 mile from the Aquarium. Another good spot for grub.

It's been about five years or so, but we really enjoyed a little diner we stumbled across on our way to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I don't even know the name, but it was right on the pier where all the boats are docked. The owner was a classically trained young chef just starting his own place. We had crab omelets, the crab fresh off the boats, beautifully prepared and presented. Don't know if it's even still there, but if you go, say "hi" from us.
