Monterey, CA New Hotel

Just opened on Monterey's scenic and famous Cannery Row:

Here's an article from our local paper:

Thanks for the posting. When we were this Feb., we were wondering why Cannery Row was blocked off at that location. Glad they continue to revitalize the area.

The link to the article doesn't work. Maybe it timed out?

I was also interested to see that the hotel site still has the rendering instead of a photo for the hotel. The room pics were good though.

Always nice to get a hotel of this quality in the area.

Saw the building going up when we were there last. Might have to check it out in the future.

We've got a room booked here for three nights in July. Would love to hear any feedback from anyone who gets a peek inside.

Its too bad they don't show the ocean views of the rooms, they just show the interior.

Drove by the hotel last week. I didn't go in but have to say the exterior is beautiful! It is very tasteful. The ocean views, which I understand are plentiful, will be spectacular. If you're familiar with the views of the aquarium, next door, then you'll know how nice the Clement's views are.

I don't get what some folks are hinting at here, but I'd sure love to hear first hand from anyone who has been inside this hotel. I am a bit nervous in having booked a room here before its even open.

Is the Intercontinental The Clement open now? Truth be told, I am hanging onto another reservation at the Portola just in case something happens that prevents the Intercontinental from opening on time. Would love to hear reviews from anyone who is one of their first guests in June!

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

COMMENTS: We ate at the restaurant hotel last night as we live in the area. We looked around the lobby and grounds. My guess is that you will enjoy the visit there. The ocean motif as you go up the stairs is very well done. The lobby is more contemporary but the colors and design are great. We enjoyed our meal overlooking the bay. Keep your reservation here and give it a shot!
