Family friendly hotel in Monterey

Does any one know of a kid friendly place to stay in Monterey, CA? I would like to be in a good location to the aquarium and Cannery Row, so I wouldn't have to drive a lot.

Well, right there on Cannery Row is the Monterey Plaza Hotel and the extra bed they put in the room for the kid is pretty comfy. But all the hotels in Monterey I've been in have been very kid friendly, from the Monterey Marriott to the Portola to the Hotel Pacific (where we'll be next week). Depending on when you go of course, even if you stay downtown, you can take the trolly to cannery row and don't have to drive at all.

The Monterey Plaza & Spa gets my vote. It's a gorgeous property with beautiful views of the ocean. There are two restaurants there, the Schooner's Bistro is very family-friendly. Check their website for packages that include admission to the aquarium. Have fun! ***kim***

We stayed at the Monterey Plaza Hotel with 2 little ones a few years ago. We enjoyed our visit.

I, too, love the Monterey Plaza Hotel. We've stayed there twice and would love to stay there again. Being on the water and seeing (and hearing) the wildlife alone is worth being there!
