Keystone or Breckenridge

We wanted to go to Breckenridge, but couldn't find a place to rent that suited us, so we turned our attention to Keystone, and rented at Red Hawk in River Run Village last night. Then the owner of one of our choices of condo's in Breckenridge called this morning to say he had availability. We can probably get out of the Keystone condo, but we turned our attention on Keystone and got excited about that area as well.
Now we don't know which one to go to.
It's just two adults for spring break.
Any opinions?

We prefer Breckenridge. Whenever we've been to Keystone, it's been icy, and Breckenridge has a town to walk around in the evenings.

As noted, Breckenridge has more of town (if that's important). However, while I like both, I prefer Keystone. Primarily because I like the night sking and don't go to Colorado for the night life (usually to tired). The poster above is also correct in that Keystone traditionally gets a bit less snow and can be icey by the end of the day. If it snows like it has been, it is not an issue. Either way you can't go wrong. Enjoy!

Two adults for spring break? If you want to be caught up in the middle of college spring break festivities - Breck. Otherwise Keystone. Each place has a distinct personality and each has it's fans. I have a home in Keystone and everytime I venture into Breck I'm really glad to get home. For me Breck is too crowded, impossible to find a place to park, and long waits for the restaurants.

Whichever you choose, I highly recommend a special dinner at the Ski Tip Lodge. Best in Summit County. Reservations required.

By the way, you can ski both places on the same ticket. So you can always visit the one you didn't pick for a day of skiing. It's not a long drive.

We have stayed in this complex during numerous summer vacations & absolutely love the location..Great views, right under the mountain..You can walk around Keystone at night too! Without huge crowds(drive over to Breck)..A-Basin is right up the hill with some of the best views EVER! Summit County is the absolute best.

Thanks for the info. Our children will be with our ex's, so that's why we are venturing into a ski resort during, gasp, spring break. It's the only time we had to get away. So we will stay in Keystone, and maybe venture over to Breckenridge for a day a skiing, and perhaps dinner one night. Or we may venture into Dillon for dinner instead. Any suggestions? Ski tip lodge sounds like it needs a reservation too.
Red Hawk sounds like a good choice as well. I'm looking forward to it.

Good casual dining at Pug Ryans in Dillon. Great breakfasts at the Arapahoe Cafe (near the Dillon Post Office). The Snake River Saloon is good and if you prefer casual you can eat at the bar. My favorite casual dining is at the bar at the Keystone Inn. They make great martinis and the crab cakes are excellent.
