MNPLS 5/31-6/1

I will be traveling with my mother and 2 sisters for a 'girls only' roadtrip to Mnpls the weekend of 5/31 & 6/1. Are there any special events scheduled for that weekend. Any other suggestions.

Do a text search for "Minneapolis" and another for "Mpls" and you will get tons of tips. (Confession: I am too lazy to re-type the same answers again!)

look online at Nicolletmall.com for downtown Minneapolis information, hotels, restaurants, maps, etc. Its very informative for travelers.

Girls in Minneapolis? Mall of Amnerica!
Check ou the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden also. It's free and a really neat place.

Cheryl -

As you probably know, that should be a fantastic time of year to visit. Where will you be coming from?

I hate to disagree, but the Mall of America is nothing but a big mall, and you will be coming when our area is great for being outside! Hang out in uptown and walk around the lakes. Go to "digital cities" and look for the twin cities, you will find stuff there. If you want to shop, go to 50th & France or Stillwater where you can stroll the little shops and be outside in between...

Coming from KC. Looking for good weather. Hope it's not too cool there. I have gotten impression that locals do not care for the Mall of America. Would like some ideas for outside and downtown.

The locals view the Mall of America like Orlando locals view Disney. We think it is very cheesy, but we are happy that people come and spend money there.

I've lived here for 3 years and been to that Mall once.
