Mirage or Caesar's

This is my first trip to Vegas since I was 5 and I'm trying to decide between the Mirage and Caesar's. The rate I can get is similar for both hotels (on a "deluxe room", which is basically a standard room in both). Any ideas?

they're both great. if you stay at caesar's remember to book a room in the palace tower, which is the newer wing and has much much nicer amenaties. you can take comfort in knowing that you won't go wrong one hotel versus the other.

I stayed in Caesars this summer, my brother and sis were at Mirage at the same time. My opinion is that Caesars is a solid notch above Mirage in almost every way. The room they had at the Mirage was fairly small (by Vegas standards), and the Mirage bathroom was the size of our closet at CP.

The room at Caesar's is not in the Palace Tower and that is not an option, it is just the average rooms in both.

My average room at CP was nicer then my suite at Mirage. I was upgraded to a jacuzzi room at CP in the centurion tower.
By far one of the best rooms and stays I have had in Vegas and I have stayed at most hotels including Bellagio and Venetian. CP hands down.

I am surprised that the Mirage is as expensive as Ceasar's. The Mirage was having specials due to the cancellation of the Siegried and Roy show. If the prices are the same, definitely stay at Ceasar's.
