Couple looking for BEST room in Vegas

Couple needing advice.
Which of the followings is the best call?
We are looking for a nice, GREAT-quality room, with the best TUB(!!!!), for a little romantic seclusion after gambling and dancing. Intended travel period- September.

1)The Venetian- luxury suite.
I know they've got nice and spacious rooms.
2)The Bellagio's- luxury suite.
I am concerned about their current constructions.
3)New York New York- Jacuzzi Suite.
Has anyone stayed in one of these? Any comments?
4)Luxor- Jacuzzi Suite.
Again, can anyone give me some comments?
5)THE Hotel At Mandalay Bay.
6)The Mirage- Tower Suite.

Thanks a bunch.

I'd go with the Palace Tower at Caesar's. We were looking for the exact same thing (except for May) and we chose Caesar's. Then, they upgraded us to a Petite Suite when we checked in!

Christie,
Thanks for your reply.
Was the suite nice? Did it have a jacuzzi? Did you have to pay extra?

The suite was GREAT, and we didn't have to pay a dime extra. It had an amazing his-and-her bathroom, complete with dual showerheads in the shower, and the nice jacuzzi tub. We also got a view of the Bellagio fountains and the Strip. When you check in, ask for a higher floor in the tower so you get the good view. We were on 26.

The construction at the Bellagio is absolutely no problem...didn't even know it was going on when we were there last month. I haven't stayed in a suite, but I visited in one and it was lovely. I'm pretty sure it had a jacuzzi but you should check. We love staying in the hotel and playing in the casino there...it feels more like a resort than a casino...nice...

TheHotel at Mandalay had great suites-750 sq.ft., 43"plasma tv in livingroom,32"in bedroom and 13"plasma in bathroom.Bathroom is huge with a large soaking tub, but it is not a jacuzzi tub. Seperate shower.Suite is nicely decorated and bed is very comfortable.Floor to ceiling windows in both livingroom and bedroom-overlooked Luxor and excaliber.

thanks for the advice, all of you. =0)
i have heard great reviews re: THE Hotel at Mandalay. I think it's either going to be the Bellagio or THE Hotel.

No, we haven't stayed at Bellagio, sorry. It's usually out of our price range.

If you want to e-mail me I can send you (tonight or tomorrow the cd is at home) some pics of the Mirage Tower Suite ... we loved it and loved the pool as well. Enjoyed Mirage b/c the suite itself was calm and luxurious but the rest of Mirage had a fun atmosphere which was a good combo for us.

I've stayed at both THEhotel and the Venetian. IMHO, there is no comparison, the Venetian (I stayed in the newer tower) wins hands down.
It does depend on your taste, though -- if you like modern and trendy, you might like THEhotel better.
But I found service at the whole Mandalay Bay complex really poor. And I'm not the kind of person who requires a lot of service!!!

just to clarify - the Palace Tower at Caesar's Palace is not all suites. They are mostly oversized rooms. I've stayed in a regular room there and a petit suite. They are both very nice with great bathrooms but they are not really "suites." Also, I wouldn't count on getting upgraded to a petit suite for free. It could happen but it is by no means a guarantee.

Thanks, everyone.
A quick question for Frankie: Did you think the tub at THE Hotel, or Venetian was nicer?

hi,
both of the tubs were about the same size, as I recall, nice and big --you could defiinitely fit two. The amazing thing was, even though THEhotel was just a few months old, there looked to be some kind of burn mark in the tub. However, both bathrooms really are super! I'd be happy to have either in my home !
The Venetian bathrooom for me has the edge because of the wonderful vanity table and chair a great place to put on makeup.
The bathrooms at the Venetian are light and bright (Venezia tower), THEhotels more masculine, done in dark wood and a granite looking material.

Bathrooms at TheHotel are done in marble and granite. The area around the tub and shower is all marble. The double vanity is granite. I have 2 pictures I can e-mail you, if you would like. 1 is of the tub and shower, and 1 is of the vanity area.

I haven't stayed in a suite at Bellagio, but I have been upgraded many times to their corner room which has a jacuzzi tub. I've stayed at Venetian also and I have to say that for me Bellagio is heads above the rest. While the rooms are lovely at Venetian, the rest of the hotel is just okay in terms of service, and the pool is really substandard for the quality of the hotel. Bellagio has the most gorgeous pool area.

I've also stayed in the tower rooms at Ceasar's and while they are great, again no comparison to Bellagio's. I love Bellagio's casino and public areas, Ceasar's is a bit dark and smoky for me. It's nice to be connected to the forum, but that's about the only advantage in my book.

I've always found the service at Bellagio to be superb and most times they will upgrade your room and/or view just for asking. (Esp. if it's a special occasion). The restaurants there are the best, and at this time of year rates should be fairly reasonable.

Whatever you decide, have fun!
