Middleton vs. Magnolia Gardens in December?

We will have time to visit either Middleton or Magnolia (for the gardens only) tomorrow. Which do you think is best this time of year (late December)? We have already visited the Audobon Swamp at Magnolia, which we liked very much.

Sorry for the last-minute question!

Thanks,

Len

You won't get much garden right now. With the freezes the camellia blooms were lost. The best garden in spring is Middleton.

As Sue says, not much to choose from now. I would still go to Middleton.

We went to Middleton Gardens in February and despite the cold we still enjoyed it. The restaurant at Middleton is very good with tradtional lowcountry fare, a big roaring log fire, and lots of charm. Also you can tour the plantation home and outbuildings.
