Miami bachelorette party- need hotel recs!
We're planning a trip for anywhere between 10-20 mid-twenties women over 4th of July weekend. We'd like to be on the beach or across the street from it, preferably walking-distance to a few restaurants/bars, and spend less than $250/night per room. I would love any suggestions you have!

I have long retired from the south beach party scene but I will give it a go anyway!
anything below 30th street, fountain blue hotel, on ocean drive will be fine especially for 250$ a night. Below 20th street is ideal. Delano, Sagamore, Loews, Tides, maybe even Ritz Carlton, cant tell you exact prices though, but you can use these names as a guide, and anything below 15th street is just crazy time if you really want to experience south beach.
have fun, good luck..

Piazza954, thanks for the help on pinpointing a location- none of us have ever been, so it's hard to figure out where to stay. Sagamore was the only one of the hotels you mentioned about within our price range, so others I found somewhat nearby are Winterhaven and Albion. Does anyone have any input on these hotels?

By coincidence I'm also looking for a room in South Beach that weekend for friends that want to visit. I found some good rates using hotelscombined.com. Among the hotels that popped up for under $250 there was a real good selection. You want a hotel in the 33139 area code. I'd choose either the Gansevoort, the Tides, the National, the Raleigh, Mondrian (although a little further out on the west side of the island), or Fontainebleu (in mid beach not south beach). it's the off season and very hot here at that time of year.

I know the Epic Hotel is not in South Beach, but it gets great reviews on tripadvisor and they're having a sale for it on Jetsetter right now. Would anyone recommend Epic as a good place for us? Do we need to be in South Beach to have easy access to restaurants/bars?

Of your choices I would opt for the Sagamore. It's right on the beach, has lively poolside scene, got a hip vibe, and the location can't be beat. The Winterhaven and Albion are a little less nice, and the South Beach Marriott is all the way down at South Point, which is a little too far to be walking distance from Lincoln Road.
