MGM studios or Universal Studios with 3 teens?

We are going to Florida the fisrt part of June with 3 teens and want to go to either one of these places. They are both expensive so can only do 1. What do you suggest? Thanks.

You should know that Universal Studios has 2 separate parks (The studio and Islands of Adventure) both require separate admission. The original studio park has your movie themed rides (Men in Black, Terminator 3D, Back to the future, etc.) and IoA has more thrill rides (roller coasters, spiderman etc.). Of the 3 I would suggest IoA with teens as there are more thrill rides.

This is a tough one and depends somewhat on what you and the teens are looking for.

If thrill rides are the biggest draw, choose the Islands of Adventure park at Universal.

If the movie studio aspect plus rides are a big consideration, choose MGM studios.

We liked Universal Studios, but consider it inferior to the other two choices.

Universal is running a special right now for 5 days at a price of $94.95 (must be purchased on line). This would be a great option if you are going to be in the area for a few days since you could go to both Universal Parks. Here's a link:

Good luck!

My favorite is Islands of Adventure, but Universal Studios just added three new attractions. The Mummy is in "soft opening" right now and Shrek and Jimmy Neutron have been open for a while. I think teens would like either Universal or Islands of Adventure better than MGM. Go to www.disboards.com for information on all of those parks.

I took three kids who loved rides are were ages 18, 15, and 12 to ALL the parks in the area and Islands of Adventures was their favorite.
