Also do a web search or look for ads in any nursing publication for travel nurses. These are companies that contract with you for short or long term assignments in different cities, and usually have housing provided as part of the deal. I have some friends who have done this in the past and got to travel to Alaska and the northwest while working, they had good experiencies.

Hello. There is a shortage of nursing jobs everywhere in the US. Are you a traveling nurse?

Check out the Denver Post's website (http://www.denverpost.com). I was just reading in the jobs section this weekend that Healthcare is one of the best to find work in Denver currently. Specifically try this link:

I am a nurse in Reno, and my hospital has over 200 openings. I don`t know what they would do without traveling nurses. You won`t have any trouble finding a job, nursing is in a crisis situation all over. One good way to go is to sign up to be a traveling nurse for 3 months or so. They will pay to get your there, provide housing, etc. After the three months, you can decide to become part of the regular staff or move on. Consider coming to Reno too, as it also has the mountains, skiing, etc, much like Colorado. Good luck to you!

This is a travel forum. What does your question have to do with travel? Just because you are asking about a particular city this doesn't make it a travel question. Surely, you can find some forums that are appropriate.

I believe questions about traveling nurses are every bit as appropriate as those about eating.

Many, if not mose, of the traveling RNs are in it for the mobile lifestyle. They're fortunate enough to have a skill that allows them to be "on the road again" and still make a living.

Bless 'em.

indica I doubt that kkj lives in Colorado. Typically the folks that post in the Colorado Section here are pretty civil.

I think KKJ is seeking some attention! Like this is the first or the last time anyone has asked questions about a location they want to move to. I have no problem giving any helpful info out since we are talking about the state I love living in.

Hope that info helps some Indica. Let us know if you have any other questions about where to live if you consider Colorado!
