Mexico

I am totally confused!!! Just went on trip advisor and I am back to square one. Any suggestions for an all-inclusive in either Cancun, Los Cabos, or Puerta Vallarta. My boyfriend and I are looking for a relaxing vacation for one week. Thanks!!!

You should post this on the Latin America board here for better responses.

hi when you get to the mex forums in latin american read "trip report girls weekend at royal playa del carmen"
also check out www.locogringo.com , www.playadelcarmen.com , and www.playaguide.com
or look at cozumel. cancun is a big city with huge hotels on the beach.
sorry, i can't help you with los cabos or puerta vallarta as i've not had the opportunity to go to the west coast yet.

Where are you coming from? That might help decide which flights are easier to take. I would suggest Playa del Carmen on the Cancun side, or Puerto Vallarta on the west coast.

Don't know a thing about Cabo, except it gets consistent comments about how touristy and expensive it is compared to other spots.

I posted a reply to you re. your Los Cabos question on the Latin American board, but reading here you're coming from New York, I'd choose Cancun over Cabo.
For Cancun all inclusives, check out the LeBlanc, or the new Royal Cancun.
For an even better experience, check out the Ritz Carlton Cancun.

www.costalegre.ca

The Costalegre (between Manzanillo and PV) is way better than most.
FD: we were in Barra de Navidad and El Careyes for Christmas '05 and '06 and had planned Zihua for Christmas '07 - www.catalina-beach-resort.com - until we got 5 free nights at Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay as a cruise perk.
Going to Catalina for Christmas '08.
Buen viaje.

Coming from New York I would go to Cancun or Playa del Carmen. They have gorgeous beaches like in the Caribbean which you will not find in Vallarta. Plus it is closer, so less air time and flight cost.

A few people have mentioned that Cancun is just like Miami...very touristy and crowded. Even though I want to stay at an all inclusive, I may want to venture out into town. However, if the bf and I decide on Cancun or Playa Del Carmen, any suggestions for an AI that is moderate?

Try Cozumel. Less touristy than Cancun. The Occidental Grand might be for you.

Cozumel or Playa del Carmen, instead of Cancun then. Sorry don't know about all-inclusives, because I never stay at them

Cancun's a big city with a beautiful hotel zone. I enjoy the big city and all the choices it gives you. It's no more touristy, and much more attractive than Cabo with its gorgeous ocean.
Playa is a mid sized city with a very European flavor. I love both places for different reasons. IMO, you can't go wrong in this area!
If LeBlanc and the Royal are too expensive, check into the Gran Caribe Real, or maybe the Riu Palace.
