I enjoyed my stay at the Joshua Grindle Inn last year. I had two dinners in Mendocino, at Cafe Beaujolais and the MacCallum House--I preferred the latter by a fairly big margin.

My husband and I have stayed at several of the B&B's in Mendocino.

I can highly recommend The Whitegate Inn, The Headlands Inn and The Joshua Grindle Inn.

The Headlands and Whitegate are not as expensive as the Joshua Grindle.

The Whitegate has a really lovely breakfast in their formal dining room.

The Headlands Inn brings breakfast to your room.

We always enjoy our dinner at The Moosse Cafe.

A 3rd for the The Moosse Cafe !

We love the Albion River Inn - about 5 miles south of the village proper

they often have terrific deals on very nice places up there -
one caveat with the LL properties-avoid Stevenswood !the others are fine, IMO.
