Some friends and I are flying into Miami from different parts of the country, all arriving within an hour or two. We're all flying different airlines and we want to meet up before going to the car rental site to rent our car for the week.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good rendezvous point? We'll be arriving at the South Terminal and everyone else will get in at the North Terminal. Is there a bar or some other place we can hang out in between the two?

How about meeting at the baggage claim for the last flight to arrive? There is a possibility that a flight is delayed and so becomes the last one in or that a flight comes into a different gate or terminal than originally planned, you can just watch the boards for the flights to track them. Alternately, there is an information center in the central terminal. MIA is quite large to walk from one end to the other, so this would be in the middle.

Thanks, Lizzie. I talked to one of my friends last night and she let me know that she did not plan to check bags, but I think she would still have to go in the direction of baggage claim, so that sounds like a plan.
