Mears to Disney World

I am staying at Port Orleans resort in Disney World. Any comments on Mears airport to port orleans transfer service would be welcome also info on Port Orleans would be appreciated.

We have taken mears once. If you want to get to your hotel quickly I wouldn't suggest taking it. They stop at different hotels to drop people off. On the other hand, sometimes you get a real character driver, telling you disney hints and facts. If you are traveling with a family it might be more cost efficient to take a taxi, or even rent a car, believe it or not. Check out the prices of rentals and taxi fares.

Ditto, get a taxi! You'll love Port Orleans, it's our fave place to stay at DW. The kids will love the pool and the food court is great. Buy the big cup with refills at the beginning of your stay. The rooms are very neat and very clean and decorated very nicely. You'll have a great time!

We have been to Disney three times in the past four years and have not rented a car any time. We like the fact that someone else can worry about how to get there. We were on vacation! The one thing I do
reccommend is to check prices of the Mears competitors when you arrive at the airport. We haven't taken Mears because even with the discount coupon Disney sends it was cheaper to go with the other vendor. This year it was cheaper to have a limo to ourselves (two adults and two children) than to take the Mears mini-bus and there were no stops except for our hotel. Have a great time!

We have used Sunray transportation twice and they are very reliable. Check out their website: www.sunraytransportation.com/index.htm
When you call, you usually talk to one of the owners. They will even do a grocery stop for you so you can pick up snacks, bottles of water, etc.
Whichever company you use, it will probably be less expensive and faster than Mears - especially if you have a group.

I was wondering why no-one had pointed out that Disney will pick you up for free (Magical Express).
