Maui on a budget

Our family will be traveling to Maui in a couple weeks for 10 days, staying at ResortQuest Kaanapali Shores we have a 2 bedroom condo. Would love to know of different things to do that does not cost a million bucks. Traveling with our 2 kids age 12 and 14. Any information regarding good snorkling, 4 wheelers, the area we are staying is it good for just chilling out and walking around? All the help and referrals are welcomed.

For just chilling and walking around, I'd recommend Lahaina, which is not that far at all from you. One "spulrge" I would highly recommend, if you're able, is a luau.

Royal Lahaina Luau is a good luau, perhaps not the best, but is the best value as there are lots of coupons available including 25% off for up to 4 people in Entertainment Book. Books are only about $15 now including shipping.

Hard to answer, don't know how much digging you've already done ! Dusty's links are great.. pick up lots of the free brochures etc at the baggage reclaim area for ideas.
Your area is OK for walking around, you have The Embassy next door and a strip mall across the street for groceries etc. You can also walk up & down the beach. You can snorkel out front I believe but Kahekili Beach Park is about a mile east/south (back towards Lahaina) and it's good for all skill levels.
Check out Maui Dive Shop, http://www.mauidiveshop.com/ , there's one across the street from you, nice to deal with as well.
You might like the Maui Ocean Center (aquarium), it's good but not cheap. Suggest you pick up a good guide book before leaving so you can at least get a sense of the lay of the land, one popular one being Maui Revealed www.wizardpub.com

Have a great trip
